29/11/12 – Skulls and Safety Pins: New Design by Faster Pussycat
Faster Pussycat have advertised a new set of heels on their Facebook page; on the front of each heel there are skulls that are juxtaposed with love hearts and safety pins. The pattern is quite unique and artistic, the pattern also feature similar characteristics to the Mexican Day of the Dead skulls. The safety pins on the other hand also reminds me of the punk subculture, the design does refer to various styles and trends popular in the contemporary culture.
I have also noticed that there are quite a lot of high heel shoes with the skull printed onto the front, especially the Mexican Day of the Dead skulls. I have seen so many different styles and patterns on the internet; I would say that the Mexican Day of the Dead is becoming a very popular trend at the moment, especially in contemporary fashion and tattoo art!
If you are interested in these set of heels, then I would recommend visiting Faster Pussycat, a unique fashion/retail store located on the corner of Gertrude Street in Melbourne, Fitzory. If you are interested in skulls and the Day of the Dead, this store is definitely worth the visit! Or check out their Facebook page, just click on the URL link below for further information.
