29/9/12 – Observations
I recognised a couple of visitors / customers at work the other day with different T-shirt designs. One could argue that the skull has no absolute meaning or representation. The style, aesthetics, form and composition may influence the perception of a particular image and perhaps the context impacts the interpretation of the skull. Both of the customers that I had recognised were wearing very modern, popular and stylised designs, which may transform the notion of death into a glamorous, commercial subject.
